Dr. Masaharu Takahashi received the B.E. degree in electrical engineering in 1989 from Tohoku University, Miyagi, Japan, and the M.E. and D.E. degree in electrical engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan, in 1991 and 1994, respectively. He was a Research Associate from 1994 to 1996, a Assistant Professor from 1996 to 2000 at Musashi Institute of Technology, Tokyo, Japan, and an Associate Professor from 2000 to 2004 at Tokyo University of Agriculture & Technology, Tokyo, Japan. He is currently an Associate Professor at Chiba University, Chiba, Japan.

His main interests have been electrically small antennas, planar array antennas (RLSA), EMC and research on evaluation of the interaction between electromagnetic fields and the human body by use of numerical and experimental phantoms. He received the IEEE AP-S Tokyo chapter young engineer award in 1994. He is a member of IEICE and a senior member of IEEE.
